TRIESTE – Circle Group has launched new software to facilitate data exchange between logistics hubs and improve the fluidity of operations.
The company, specialized in process analysis and the development of innovation and digitalization solutions for the port and intermodal logistics sectors, announced the launch – through its subsidiary eXyond – of a new strategic project aimed at achieving IT interoperability among national logistics hubs, in line with European directives and the goals of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The program, involving various projects across different intermodal hubs with a total investment of approximately €400,000, aims to implement federative services among the different hubs and actors in intermodal logistics. The initiative is set to be completed within 12 months, with intermediate milestones aligned with the Next Generation EU timeline.
At the heart of the project is the development of connectors between the IT systems of the hubs and the national digital infrastructure. The initiative also includes interoperability with the e-CMR platform developed by ACCUDIRE, already used in numerous contexts, with the aim of ensuring full interoperability between public and private systems and compliance with European technological standards.
“This project,” explained Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, “confirms our unique position in the digitalization of the logistics chain and our concrete commitment to implementing interoperability principles promoted at both European and national levels, as outlined in our strategic plan ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth.’ The experience we have gained through participation in various European institutional forums allows us to drive innovation toward an increasingly integrated, efficient, and sustainable logistics system. We are proud to actively contribute to a path that has a direct impact on the entire Italian and European intermodal freight transport ecosystem.”
