TRIESTE – Also for 2025, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has allocated contributions to obtain the Driver Qualification Card (CQC), with the aim of addressing the severe shortage of drivers for road transport, both of goods and passengers.
«The regional administration has planned to grant a contribution equal to 80% of the cost for unemployed individuals and 50% for applicants who are not unemployed – specified the Regional Councillor for Infrastructure and Territory, Cristina Amirante – . The initial financial allocation is 320,000 euros and, depending on the number of applications, further funding may be considered during the budget adjustment phase».
During 2024, 362 individuals applied (under the regular call related to goods and passenger transport qualifications), and 342 were approved for the contribution following the evaluation process (+7.21% compared to 2023), for a total commitment of 559,984.75 euros (+7.46% compared to 2023). This increase in funding was made possible thanks to an additional allocation decided by the regional administration beyond the initial 320,000 euros, in order to meet all the submitted and approved applications.
