TRIESTE – Revenues reached €405 million, net profit came close to €98 million, and €125 million were allocated to investments and maintenance. Autostrada del Brennero closed 2024 with improved figures and is now preparing for the tender for a new 50-year concession. The financial statements approved by the Board of Directors show a net profit of €97.92 million, up 22.35% compared to the previous year. Revenues from sales and services amounted to €405.5 million, while the production value reached €424.2 million. Vehicle-kilometers travelled along the Brenner–Modena axis rose to 5.28 billion, with an average daily traffic of 46,000 vehicles (+1.2%). Financial management generated a result of €35.68 million, marking a 12% increase over 2023. Service areas brought in revenues of €23.1 million, a 6% increase year-over-year. On the operational front, €125.2 million were allocated in 2024 for investments and maintenance.
Key projects included the new Ala Avio toll station and four hydrogen refueling hubs. Routine maintenance totaled €74.6 million, with €26.9 million spent on road surfaces, €11.6 million on civil structures, and €7.5 million on systems and installations. The accident rate (TIG) stood at 15.97, compared to the national average of 27. This represents a 67% decrease from the late 1990s. The call for tenders for the new concession was published during the year. The Ministry of Infrastructure accepted the proposal submitted by Autostrada del Brennero, following the resolution of three legal disputes concerning taxation, windfall profits, and toll rates.
