MONFALCONE - A cooperation agreement was signed today in Monfalcone between Compagnia Portuale Srl and two major international partners to attract new clients and cargo to Portorosega. The partners of the initiative that could pave the way for strong developments in the short term, are DB Cargo Logistics GmbH, the logistics department of the German railways and Wallenius Willemsen Logistics, a global leader in RoRo shipping and logistics.

TRIESTE - With effect from September 6th 2016 a new direct rail service will connect the Port of Trieste to the Slovakian Terminal of Dunajská Streda. This will be the first and unique connection between  the Italian Port and the Eastern Country.

TRIESTE - During the first five months of 2016, the intermodal traffic at Trieste Marine Terminal shows a +17.1% compared to the same period in 2015. On monthly basis, data shows a +3% compared to May 2015.

TRIESTE - Italian Rail Network (RFI) announced that the upgrading works of the rail infrastructure in Trieste Campo Marzio have been started in these days. The plan includes the replacement of some railroad switches and the planimetric changes in order to improve the railway line for a total investment of 680 000 euros.

TRIESTE - With effect from June 8th 2016 a new direct rail service will be provided between Salzburg and Trieste.

TRIESTE - The total volumes handled at Trieste Marine Terminal during the first four months of 2016 have been more 153.000 teu, recording a +8% compared to the same period of 2015. Import (+14%) and export (+8%) full containers growth explains the positive total performance, with intermodal cargo flows confirming a rising trend compared to last year.

TRIESTE -  A record for train displacement at Port of Trieste where, after 5604 convoys in 2015, a 30% increase is expected for 2016. Trieste confirms itself as a port of call characterized by a high number of intermodal connections, which are essential for efficient and ecological cargo displacement.

TRIESTE - The total containers volumes moved by rail at Molo VII (Trieste's Port container terminal) in January 2016 have increased by 6% compared to the same month 2015.

TRIESTE - The regional assembly of Friuli Venezia Giulia has destined 500 thousand euros to the Port Authority of Trieste for the promotion of intermodal transport from and to the port of call.
The region is engaged in sustaining the port activity with particular attention to the promotion of combined transport services, destined to consolidate commercial traffic with marine vectors that dock at the Port of Trieste.
