TRIESTE – The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has allocated 7 million euros favouring ports and logistics network.
The decision was taken within the Budget Law, approved in recent days by the Regional Council. Part of the resources was already known, while other chapters of expenditure are among the novelties.
The largest allocation concerns the Interporto of Trieste, committed to developing the regional logistics system, to which 4 million euros are allocated. Other chapters of expenditure, explains the Councillor for Infrastructure, Graziano Pizzimenti, concern Alpe Adria spa (2 million euros), the company providing intermodal and combined freight transport services. Also for the development of intermodality, 300 thousand euros have been made available to finance star-ups that can organise transport from the region’s industrial areas.
An extraordinary grant of 700 thousand euros was awarded to Ferrovie Udine Cividale (Fuc) for interventions to improve and modernise the company’s railway rolling stock.
