Port of Trieste: 14 million Euro for development projects
TRIESTE - The Management Committee of the Port Authority, which controls the Port of Trieste, today approved the 2016 General Report. The administrative surplus of €14.3 million will be used, along with additional sources of founding, to support the cost of the Triennial Operative Plan.
The 2016 Budget ended with a gross operating margin of €23,765,038, with an increase in revenues of about 3.43% compared to 2015. The beginning of 2017 is proving to be extremely positive, both in regards to freight traffic as well as the number of trains. "Positive figures, to which all participating firms and companies have played a key role in achieving, means an increase in jobs as well as an increase in the value of the entire port," said Zeno D'Agostino, President of the Port System Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea.
