Bound for Albania a 400 tonnes crane departs Monfalcone
MONFALCONE - A 70 metres high and over 400 tonnes heavy crane has been embarked today in the Port of Monfalcone. The operations were managed by the employees of the terminal operator Compagnia Portuale (CPM) as well as by the technicians of the company Terex, specialized in this kind of work.
The crane has been loaded on the Tamper, one of the “Big Lift” ships bound for Durazzo in Albania, where it will become the biggest crane for container loading and discharging. For several weeks, Terex technician have been preparing the large structure before the loading and the consequent journey by sea, while CPM has locked the crane safely on the deck of the cargo ship.
