Work and economic development: new partnership between the Authority and the Region

TRIESTE - The development of training courses to create new professional competencies in jobs related to the port activities, and the definition of a pilot project involving technical high schools, recruitment centres and agencies, are the goals set by the Port Authority and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in a memorandum of understanding to be signed in the coming weeks.

During a meeting between the Regional Councillor for Labour Alessia Rosolen, and the Port Authority Management, led by its Chair Zeno D’Agostino, job opportunities in the port compartment and interesting scenarios for the future years have been assessed both under the innovation and economic development point of view.
“The signing of the memorandum will lead to the reinforcement of an essential partnership - Councillor Rosolen pointed out - considering that the port is not an exclusive resource of Trieste, but it is available to a much wider territory.
