Trieste and Monfalcone, the ports are working with "Safety Circle"

TRIESTE - There are no outbreaks of infection in the port clusters of Trieste and Monfalcone. This is the result of a survey called "Safety Circle"  which found that only 22 workers out of 1,292 people voluntarily subjected to the serological test have developed antibodies from Covid 19. However, no subject tested positive for the next swab.

The encouraging results must take into account the fact that the ports have never stopped operating since the beginning of the pandemic and none of the port companies has ceased or suspended work even in the most restrictive phases of the lockdown. «Safety Circle is part of a much broader and more structured plan for managing the pandemic situation» explained the Port Authority, underlining how preventive measures have been implemented in the Ports of Trieste and Monfalcone in advance of the rest of Italy.
The joint initiative of the Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea, the University of Trieste, the Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority (Asugi), the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) of Trieste and the FVG Region also provided for an opinion poll among workers, always concerning the issues related to the Covid 19 pandemic.
