During the first semester of 2018, the total volumes moved by rail grew by +63.9% compared to the first semester of 2017, and represent over 50 % of the import/export traffic handled by TMT.

PRAGUE - Approximately 150 operators attended the presentation of statistics and news on rail services at the Port of Trieste, which was held on Wednesday, 7th June in Prague. The success of the meeting laid the groundwork for a development that allows the port of call of Friuli Venezia Giulia to become a gateway to the economy of the Czech territory.

TRIESTE - Rail traffic + 14.95%, container handling + 14.11% Teu, RO-RO + 3.77%. With these data, the Port of Trieste confirms its positive trend for traffic, which in the first four months of 2018 recorded a total of + 6.55% (compared to the same period of 2017) with 20.37 million tons of handled goods.
