TRIESTE - The total volumes handled at Trieste Marine Terminal during the first four months of 2016 have been more 153.000 teu, recording a +8% compared to the same period of 2015. Import (+14%) and export (+8%) full containers growth explains the positive total performance, with intermodal cargo flows confirming a rising trend compared to last year.

TRIESTE - With effect from week 20th, a third regular weekly block train departure from Trieste to Budapest Bilk and vice versa will be activated.

TRIESTE - The total containers volumes moved by rail at Molo VII (Trieste's Port container terminal) in January 2016 have increased by 6% compared to the same month 2015.

TRIESTE - Trieste Marine Terminal is showing a 19.1 % growth increase in railroad transport volumes for exchange traffic to Eastern and Southern Europe, compared to 2014. The containers directed towards Germany, Austria and Hungary have increased significantly, confirming Trieste’s  importance for railroad flow.

TRIESTE - Beginning November 16th, the unique railroad freeway connecting the short distance from Molo V’s Ro-Ro services, to the Intermodal Terminal of Trieste Fernetti, will be viable. The relevant Authority, Region FVG and representatives of customs, Intermodal Terminal of Trieste, Samer Shipping, Alpe Adria and Trenitalia, underlined at the presentation of the project how important this apparently simple operation really is, with great strategic value.

TRIESTE - The number of trains departing and arriving at the Port of Trieste has increased by 15.16% showing 4,014 trains during the last nine months in respect to last year’s 3,564.

Zeno D’Agostino, the Commissioner of the Port Authority, said: “the vocation of Trieste is to serve Bavaria, all our efforts are at this time focused on train connections. This is our key message for potential partners and investors at the Transport Logistic Fair in Monaco”.
