Rfi and the Port of Trieste update the railways agreement
TRIESTE - To improve the connection of the port of Trieste with the national railway infrastructure to increase the share of traffic serving the port of call.
With this objective in mind, an agreement was signed yesterday in Rome between the Italian Railway Network (RFI) and the Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea (Port of Trieste). This is an update of the document signed in 2016 and will allow to increase the efficiency and operations of the piers with reduction of maneuvers, travel times and with new stations, as much as possible close to the loading and unloading areas. The intention is to achieve a significant phase of the Port Regulatory Plan by 2023.
