The Old Port of Trieste will no longer be state owned, the Free Port will be moved

TRIESTE - The Old Port of Trieste will no longer be state owned after an agreement reached between institutions.  The free port will be moved at the service of the new port and the income from the sale of the old port structures will be redirected for the development of commercial infrastructure in the new port.
The documents were signed today at the hydroelectric plant of the Trieste’s “Porto Vecchio”, by Regional President Debora Serracchiani, Trieste’s Mayor, Roberto Cosolini, Commissioner Zeno D’agostino, State property Agency Director Roberto Reggi, and representatives of of the Harbor’s Master Office, City Prefect Adelaide Garufi.
