Munich, Port of Trieste meets with Bavarian delegates

MUNICH - Harbour logistics, customs, railroad operations and professional training were the topics discussed at the Transport Logistic Fair in Munich during the last few days by president of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Debora Serracchiani.

Meetings were held with Bavarian ministers Marcel Huber (Federal Affairs) and Joachim Herrmann (Construction and Transport). A booth representing the port of Trieste and intermodal system of FVG was also present at the Bavarian fair.
“We are carrying on with the work related to the agreement signed in May 2016 with the free state of Bavaria”, said Serracchiani. The President of Trieste Port Authority, Zeno De Agostino, recalled that all the great players of maritime and land logistics were present at Munich’s fair, while Minister Herrmann outlined that relations with the port of Trieste are so strong that Munich can be considered the farthest northern city of Italy. According to Debora Serracchiani, Trieste can be considered the third most important port for Germany after Hamburg and Bremerhaven.
